Autosuggestion: The Medium For Influencing The Unconscious Mind
Most of us know that we are in control of our own destinies and our own minds, but are not aware of why this is true and how to apply it. It is important to understand the difference between the conscious and subconscious minds, and how to use the conscious mind to influence the subconscious mind. Our conscious mind perceives impressions through all five of our senses and chooses which ones will be rejected or passed onto the subconscious mind. Our conscious mind has absolute control over what reaches the subconscious mind. It is also important to realize that even though we do have this absolute control, the majority of the time we do not practice it.
Picture the subconscious mind as a fertile garden where weeds will grow in abundance if seeds of more desirable crops are not planted and watered there. Through our conscious mind, we must choose which seeds (thoughts) will be planted and watered (accepted as truth) in our subconscious minds. We can achieve this through mastering the principle of autosuggestion (self-suggestion).
Our dominating thoughts (whether positive or negative) allow which ones stay in our conscious mind. Autosuggestion voluntarily reaches the subconscious mind and influences it with these thoughts. It is important to understand that no thought can enter the subconscious mind without the help of autosuggestion. Our conscious mind is the outer protection of our subconscious mind. Through the repetition of autosuggestion, we willingly create the habits favorable to our efforts to transmute our desires into physical counterparts. When we write down our desires, and say them out loud with emotion and feeling (faith, love, belief), over and over and over again, our subconscious mind recognizes and acts only upon these thoughts. Without faith and emotion mixed with our words, we will not experience results. Reread that again as it is crucial to understand. The ability to master the principle of autosuggestion takes continuous persistence and concentration. The subconscious mind only takes orders that are backed by faith and repetition.
Once you accomplish this, your subconscious mind will give you your plan you need to execute your desire. When the plan appears you must put it into action immediately. The plan will come to you in a form of an inspiration and it is essential that you are ready to act upon it as soon as you receive it. This is absolutely critical to your success.
